250 GB Hard Drive for Xbox 360 Slim Introduction

I bought this for my new Xbox 360 slim version, and the 250 GB hard drive for Xbox 360 slim works great. Installation was easy and fool-proof, and now I’m installing all my games to speed up loading times and with the 250 GB hard drive for Xbox 360 slim I won't have to worry about deleting things for a long time. So in this way, I save my time and it keeps me a comfortable mood when playing games.

There have been many debates about buying hard drives from OEM and non OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) products. Believe it or not there is a difference which may or may not affect you as a buyer. As for me, it makes a huge difference and could for children or adults who play the original Xbox games. The problem with knock off hard drives is that you may find that they are not backwards compatible with your original Xbox games. For me, a game like Fable: The Lost Chapters, is something I really like to play still. By buying a non OEM product, I would inhibit my ability to play with the 250 gb hard drive for Xbox 360 slim. The reason this is, is because manufacturers will put bigger laptop hard drives into Xbox 360 cases. It doesn’t mean that it hinders the functionality of your hard drive because it does expand your memory, it just doesn’t contain the key files for backwards compatibility that official Xbox hard drives have.

So yes, official 250 GB hard drive for Xbox 360 slim are double the price and I don’t like it as much as you do, but I know plenty of parents out there whose kids still play the original Xbox games. The question is whether you care about the backwards compatibility or not. If your answer is yes, then buy an official Xbox hard drive. If your answer is no, then I’d definitely stick with the cheaper end hard drives as they do expand your memory.

Shipping was fast and free in Geartaker, and the only thing is these are not new, an had to go on YouTube to see how to install, but after seeing video was simple an easy, we are of the older generation, so we had no clue~ but it is nice now not to have to worry about running out of space when we add new games to our library. So if you need one 250 GB hard drive for Xbox 360 slim, buy one from Geartaker.
Geartaker.com offers high-quality products at extremely lower price. I high recommend this site, for I bought one 250 GB hard drive for Xbox 360 slim from Geartaker, the service made me feel so comfortable, Geartaker must be my very first option if I want online shopping.

I should have done this long ago, this is absolutely the ideal add on to your Xbox 360 console. No more worrying about weather or not I have enough space on the internal and/or the flash drive I happened to have around. Works the way its supposed to, doesn't blink, sweat, just keeps plugging along. Can't compare it to any thing else..well I guess there is the old 60 gig I had for my old Xbox 360, back when they first came out, went through 2 of those consoles, it wasn't bad..but this new one..holy smokin donuts as a friend of mine says. Great product, great price, knocked off over a third the cost of getting one at my local gamestop. Get one, they're cheap enough..hell get 2, thats how cheap they are, can't go wrong, its not the knock off, its genuine made for Xbox by Xbox or who ever the hell makes them..is it Microsoft, well then its Microsoft..just get one.The transfer went very smoothly, only hiccup was that I had to reinstall Peggle for some reason, but it didnt matter because the previous saves all remained. If you like oblivion, fallout 3 etc. you will need to upgrade to this to keep all of your DLC on the hard drive.

I don't usually make time to do reviews, but I wanted to help counterbalance the negative reviews from people who evidently bought from shady vendors. I bought from GoHastings, and it was official X-box merch, mint packaged, with the transfer cable and disc. The set-up for transfer was so easy that it almost took me more time just to pull the thing out of the plastic blister packaging. You might need to check-up on the transfer screen occasionally -- because of the "preloaded content" (demos), it asked me if I wanted to replace one (preloaded game) with one I already had. Much like with computers, transfer of files stops until you answer yes or no to the "replace with" questions. I also had to recalibrate my Kinect audio afterwards, but it seems like that was the only thing that didn't transfer over.
